Have you recovered from the hustle and bustle of the holiday season? Are you ready to tackle 2023 … because our team here at Paducah Rheumatology is ready to help you take on 2023!
2023 is your year - your year to improve your health and reach your physical wellness goals!
How do we support our patients along their journey to better health and wellness?
#1 We use a team-based model of care. We utilize the talents, skills, and knowledge of our entire team to provide the best care possible for our patients.
We feel that together we can accomplish more when we combine the efforts of a team of healthcare professionals. And most importantly, this team-based approach means that you have more people, more helping hands, and more sets of eyes all willing to help you manage your rheumatic disease.
Check out our blog to learn more about why we choose to work together as a team at Paducah Rheumatology.
#2 We take the time to educate our patients. Navigating a rheumatic disease can be confusing. Mix that together with doctor office anxiety, and visiting a rheumatologist can be a downright exhausting endeavor.
We want our patients to feel comfortable and at ease when seeing a healthcare provider at Paducah Rheumatology. We want our patients to feel like we are approachable, and that their questions will be answered and concerns will be addressed.
Living with an rheumatic disease comes with enough unknown territory, but a visit to Paducah Rheumatology should not be full of uncertainty.
For more information, read this blog that describes what you can expect at your first appointment with us.
#3 We utilize an easy-to-use patient portal program. Another way we keep our patients informed is through an online patient portal. Don’t worry, even if you are not a fan of technology, our patient portal is one of the most user-friendly programs out there.
In the online patient portal, you can:
Send private messages and chat with a team member
Request a specialist referral
Submit medication refills
See lab results and immunization history
View transmit and health access logs
Check financial statements
Look at your appointment schedule
Check out our blog where you can watch a step-by-step video tutorial that walks you through how to use this online resource.
#4 We also offer a mobile app to help our patients manage their rheumatic disease. The Healow app coincides with your personalized information from the online patient portal.
It provides similar features to the patient portal, such as the ability to message our Paducah Rheumatology team or request medication refills, plus more. The Healow app allows you to check in to your telehealth or in-person appointment with a QR code.
In fact, you can have an entire audio or video doctor visit through the Healow app when using the microphone and camera on your smartphone.
For a complete tutorial explaining this free mobile app, check out this blog.
